I'm buying an 85 GLH tomorrow that's got tan interior. I've never seen one with that color interior before, is it rare? Also the front seats have seen better days but I'm not sure I'll be able to find any of those in tan

I have a black '86 GLH Turbo with factory tan interior. I've only seen one other one on the forums. I think the tan was more popular on the red cars, and probably the only option for the gold cars.

silver cars are usually red interior but some are blue
black = tan, red, grey OR blue
gold = almost always tan interior
red= usually red
santa fe blue = blue or grey interior.

My favorite interior is grey, followed by tan then blue. I HATE RED!

i've been looking at glht's for 20 years and have yet to see a tan interior in person, it is the rarest of interiors in these cars.

The Plymouth Horizons are practically ALL Tan...whats the big deal?? So I would assume the Omni's being made about the same as far as interior colors. I sold these things when they were new, and if I remember corretly, it was the red and blue insides that were the "rare" ones...

it would hard to imagine the red interior being the least-produced, i'd wager it would be the tan, maybe close to a tie w/ blue, but the silver and red interiors seem to be the most prevalent.

also keep in mind the GLHT got the premium seating and vinyl as standard, regular omnis and horizons got the integral headrest seats only as an extra cost option. i've seen lots of standard tan seats in regular omnis and horizons.

LUKE: any chance you friend wants to sell his black/tan glht?

Id say that tan is the rarest colour in GLH cars. Id say it is probably my favorite colour, I really liked my gold/ tan GLH.

After the car gets old, and the plastics fade, it is funny how may different shades of tan you end up with.

I really did not like the red, but it seems like that all there was. I had a silver/red '85 GLHT that I had to rip the inside out and replace with a blue from a junk yard. They slammed that red interior everywhere. What a pain it was to change the dash!

yeah red interior is definately brutal, blue is pretty bad too. Tan is okay but not sporty at all. My favs are black and grey. I've seen a number of tan interior chargers/turismos in the jyards, but the front seats are always junk.

My buddy has a red GLHT with a tan interior. He is looking for some interior parts too.

The tan is much nicer than that red.

I think by a long shot the best interior color was the Brown (not tan) on the 84-85 vintage SE Omni, Horizons, and Rampages, probably the Chargers too. Now thats a rare color! Interior plastic dash, console, door panels, etc. was a milk chocolate brown. Never offered on the GLH's though, but it sure would have looked killer on the gold GLH's. I've only seen a handful of Black/tan GLH's. My buddy bought a new GLHT Red w/silver. It looked fantastic.

I've also seen the brown interior on some random L-body I saw out in the junkyard. I liked it a lot, even better than the tan interior on my car.

My first car was a red/red GLH. I didn't mind the red interior but I never really liked it too much...mostly because the car also had tinted windows and red interior made it almost impossible to see around inside the car. It was like the bat cave back there.
