Being spring I finally backed the daytona out of the garage. I went to roll the passenger side window down to let it air out (Power windows) and it started clacking and jerking downwards. It threatened not to roll back, but it did, making just as much noise... I popped the door panel off and found the flexdrive had broken (Flexdrive being the white toothed length of plastic that slides along the track and pushes/pulls the window up and down)

I don't think it's something I can get at the local autozone, so I'm guessing it's going to have to be a used piece. Am I stuck having to track down a flex drive from dodge daytona with power windows or can I widen my search? (I.E. would one from lebaron work? Does it have to be a power-window car?)
HELP! For the love of Gawd HELP! Spring is freakin' here and I'm not driving around with a window rolled up!
Thanks in advance

go to any of your local parts store and ask where the HELP section is. they will have a universal replacement unit that fits all the late 80's dodges.

Autozone, Napa, O'Reilly, ABC.. any of those parts houses should have one in their "help" product section. 15 bucks, give or take, the last time I bought one... Takes an hour, maybe 2 tops to replace. Be sure to clean the old grease off everything & relube with the white lithium stuff.

Good luck!
