recovering L body sunvisors

I have an 85 GLHT with the sunvisors that have fabric instead of vinyl, & they are looking shabby. I would like to get them recovered & don't know where I can take them to. I would just replace them, but I cant seem to find any around that aren't the vinyl visors. My car has the deluxe lighting option so I want to keep the visors on there

Any tips would be appreciated.

Auto upholstery place. No real experience, but that's what I would do. I don't have the skills for that type of thing. Like the tint on my car I bring stuff like that to the pros who've done it a long time.

I just bought vynil ones for mine rather than fixing the stock ones. I could get them recovered for $75, probably worth it becasue I think it would be hard to do without breaking them (you have to take the visor apart into 2 halves to do it right).

I thought about that, but since I have the map light on the passenger side visor I want to recover them and am willing to pay the cost necessary.

I don't remember for sure what makes those tick, but the Shelby Charger I had for 18 1/2 years (and sold last night) had the cloth. If it's like a Daytona, I always thought you could slip a butter knife in enough to seperate the halves a bit and then use something else to tuck th cloth in. I never tried it but I thought it may be possible. On the other hand, it may make a patheticly loose covering.
It would be a shame to lose the lighted visors. If I would have read this last night, I would have pulled those out of the Charger before selling it. Oh well. With an 87 GLHS, I'm going to be kicking myself for quite a while for selling the Charger.

Well, I just tried to recover them to see if I could do it. Figure I had nothing to lose & it couldn't look any worse than it did. Well, I got the driver side done & it turned out pretty good. I trimmed the fabric too much so a few places it's not as good as it could have been, but it does look 100% better!! I'll post some pics of it tomorrow, as it's not too dark to take pcs of them. I already installed them.

I just bought some headliner fabric form the store, spray adhesive & went to town. I sprayed both the fabric & the visor itself let it dry a bit to cure then set the visor on the fabric. I then stretched it to make sure it was tight on there, trimmed as necessary & tucked it in the crack with a butterknife. It worked great & aside from it being a little darker than the factory color it turned out great! It still matchesthe interior though, as it's the same color as the center of the Shelby Charger seats I just got for the car.
