It looks great. Good color choice. Looks better than my mom's new PT Cruiser

Thanks. The colors work well with the gold exterior.

That looks great Jessie.

Are you going to have it on the road anytime this year? I'd like to see that thing in person.

Looks great Jessie . The carpet color looks fine. What color is the headliner? I vote for the dark brown dash. Then your boy can eat Hersheys milk chocolate bars in the car, and wipe his hands off on the dash and it won't even show! Your gonna have the ONLY GLH with a brown interior, and probably one of only a handful of nice gold ones left. How cool is that?

Bob - it won't be on the road before winter. But, next spring it will be. I hope to have the drivetrain in by the end of Sept. From there, I will need to wire it, intercool it, and troubleshoot it (I doubt it will run perfect the first time its started).

Thanks Todd. I will eventually go brown with the dash. Leighton likes chocolate bars, but he knows he isn't allowed to eat in the "nice" cars. People that have seen my car (even my dad) ask me, "Why did you paint it gold?". I tell them because its the original color and there weren't many made. I like it.

Looks good , Jesse!
Where did you have the work done? A friend of mine got quoted something like 300 dollars a seat to have his red Omni seats recovered to match his blue interior (non GLH drag car project). Is this the normal rate for upholstery work ?
I've seen the car in person , and it's SWEET!
The other Todd

Justen's in Shakopee did it. The price your friend got is decent. These covers are custom made by Justen, so I paid a little more. But overall, I got a fair price. He made all 4 trim panels, did the headliner (dark brown), covered all four seats, and put the seats together. I supplied the suede.

BTW - there are no hard feelings about the blue GLH. I've been in your shoes before.

If I tell you, I'll have to . . .

Let's just say it cost me more than the average TDer paid for his/her car - maybe even double for most!
