That 'Baron definatly has a lot of time in to it. Some of it doesn't look bad(sides...parts of the rear, front bumper)...other parts are HIDEOUS!!!(hood!).

I think it's funny he thinks there's something special about that 3.0 he got...it's just wrinkle powder coated black...the rest is the same as any other SOHC Chrysler 3.0. He'd definatly going to need the turbo to get that thing going! It's gotta weigh a TON with all that stuff in it!!

Oh well...like stated before...to each his own...

hes rebuilt the engine from the ground up with porter nearly everything, cold air intake, and a 3 inch exhaust. Definitely a cool car with a lot of custom work. He knows these cars pretty well. He is an innovator.a different spin on these cars is always nice to see. A turbo will definitely set that 3.0 up for something fierce

Don't get me wrong, I read that he'd rebuilt the engine. Let's face reality for a second though...even with his mods, he's not making more than 160hp at the crank. The car weighs probably a good 36-3800#'s. It's not going to be that fast. IMHO performance mods for a car like that are futile. The only point they have is to make it so the thing is more drivable and less of a slug on the street. It was built to look good..not really go good. The turbo kit he says he's planning will definatly help, but it more than likely won't put him at the power level he is looking for(unless he's doing a lot mroe work than he's eluding to). To make some real power he's going to have to rebuild the engine again with boost-friendly parts. We all know about this...so I'm not going there. Cool to see? Sure! Help the car go? Most definatly!

I also saw he plans to put a 5-speed in the car. That will help it some, especially the durability. As much as I think the A604 is wrongly accused of being a POS, I think that in this case it is not the best choice if he plans to make more power and haul all that weight around.

I also agree that he's doing something different, which is nice. I have no issues with that.

Anyways...the car is a good example that if you do good work, then it will come out looking decent. It may not be to everybody's taste, but at least it won't look like a hack job. I DO respect that...

I've determined I like them on some cars and not others. For instance...my '88 not so much. The car is white and just looks clean an slick without them. Your '86 looks friggin AWSOME with them...adds more attitude!

My '91 I'm probably going to add some just to add some security to the car...nothing like walking by a car in the parking lot, looking through the rear glass and seeing two 10# N2O bottles just sitting there...even through dark tint. The car is also black, so I think it'll add some more of that attitude !

My '90 would have looked crappy without them..it was a no-wing car. I have one to add to it, but have never done it because it is not going to see the raod again for a LONG time...

Louvers... YES!!!!!! That UGLY bumper cover, NO!! What happened to just going fast, instead of putting all kinds of fiberglass crap all over the car? And I am so sick of Nitrous. How 'bout you go fast all the time? N2O might make your car fast, but what happens when the bottle runs out? You're back to slow again. You can build a TD to beat most of the cars on the road, so why use something that is just temporary?
