Charger power hatch release in an OMNI???

Anyone know if a power hatch lock mechanism from a Charger will fit an Omni?

I know both are l-body's and most parts can be swapped around, but I think the trunk key cylinders are located in different areas. I wonder if the two locks are different. Help!

I'm looking to do the same thing with my Omni.....haven't researched anything yet though.....did any Omni's get the hatch release or was it only the chargers?

manly its rear defrost or rear wiper it still could be a option.

Now is the lock mechanism on the Omni in the hatch or on the car. I know the charger's lock mechanism is in the car. sorry, my car is home and i'm at school so I can't look.
