center dash console in Horizon/Omnis

I just recently purchased a 1984 Horizon. I've had 4 Omni/Horizons all from 86 on and they've all had the center dash console piece (the ashtray/cig lighter/cubbyhole/cupholders) in it. I was wondering if anyone knew if I found one if they could be installed in my Horizon?

Or - does anyone have that piece laying around an would want to sell it? My interior is burgandy, btw.

That dash design started in '84, so yeah, the centre console could be installed pretty easily. You'll need the console piece, the cubby bin piece, and the upper and lower metal brackets to tie it to the car. I have three (3) sets, all of which are gray.

Only some of the A/C cars had the vent's in the console. I have had a few A/C cars that did not have the vents in it, but I have seen a few with it in there. But the center console will work with the earlier style of dash that came in the Charger/Omni/Rampages, I had one installed into my 83 Rampage, granted I had to install the mounting brackets, but it all fit fine when installed right. I had a few different sets, but I have parted with all of mine that were blue and red, but all I have now is one left of the grey. But the brackets are easy to install.

Hmm, my gray ones are all off non-A/C cars. I spose the worst that happens is there will be an extra set of (non-functional) vents. What is in the part of the console on an A/C car anyway? It looks like a little door...

Mine opens up with a little map light I believ its where some car had a second set of A/C vents.Wish I could find a no A/C piece that goes around the radio area.
