I'm looking for something that will work good for cleaning and sealing up the leather steering wheel in my 1990 Dodge daytona ES w/airbag. I original one I got with the car had a some small holes but cleaned it some some armor all leather cleaner and shortly after the leather got a gritty feel and starting falling apart. I was lucky to get another one off my donor car from a 5spd swap, but looking for something good to clean and maybe seal it up.

I've cleaned it with water and paper towel then dab dry with a dry towel, gotta be something else better!

Thanks!

Kiwi Saddle Soap. Perfect for leather. Lather it up. Work into dirty area and wipe off residue with clean damp towel.

I use LEXOL leather cleaner and then seal it up with their conditioner. You can get it at any local leather clothing shop. Great stuff it completely restored my black coat to a deep rich color after 5 years of abuse! (also cleaned up my arm-rest like new)

+1 On the Lexol, pricey but very good stuff. If I remember correctly they are about 7 bucks each. A lot of the higher class car guys swear by it.

I've tried both on a few cars I've had. Lexol is OK but pricier than the saddle soap. The saddle soap cleaned better and buffed out nicely but, then again, what's a few bucks either way?

the only other thing Ive ever used on leather is Minks Oil. Amazing for sealing in the oils after you recondition it. lasted 3 years on my coat (kept it 100% waterproof as well) so Id recommend getting some no matter what products you choose to clean and condition your leather
