I'm a little curious as to whether or not anybody knows of a place to find a really cheap boost guage. And I'd go about hooking it up. I think i just hook it into the vac system? My lebaron didn't come with a boost guage since it has the digital message center instead. I'm planning on raising boost, and it would be great to actually know what i'm boosting

Get an Autometer gauge on ebay. That's where I got my Phantom Series, it's pretty sweet. I think I paid $25 for it, lightly used. I wouldn't settle for a no-namer.
Hook it up with hard tubing, not rubber hose, somewhere close to the manifold. Use compression fittings on the line (no teflon tape).

find a spot on the panel around the wheel or the console and dremel out a hole for it. since there no pods or pillars, just make a custom one

I will also be installing a boost gauge in my Lebaron and have been thinking about where to put the gauge so that it's readable yet flowing with the dash. I read this page which really gave me some good ideas.

Well, that's a good place on an l-body, I did the same thing. But, I think he did a crappy job of mounting it with glue. Looks cheap. Mine looks much better, IMHO.

Yeah that looks damn good. Unfortunately, the vents in a Lebaron aren't really accommodating for any kind of square guage. I really don't want to drill into the panel like the article and I don't want to make any chages to the pillar. I think what I might do is look into installing some sort of faceplate where the cup holders are, but I'm not sure. I'm still trying to decide where it will fit in best with the least amount of fabrication.

Edit: A tire gauge is just plain ghetto. End of story. I know the economy sucks, but save up some beans and get a lighted boost gauge. Just my .02

Welcome to turbododge, where CHEAP, CHEAP, and CHEAP is the key for most people and CHEAP, CHEAP, and CHEAP is all they can think about.

Mine took money, time, and lots of efforts. Time to clean my car though.

+1. I really don't want to cut into my dashboard. Basically I may also do something like that with the cup holders, or maybe the ash tray. I don't really want to do something that if i mess up, the whole dash is a total loss. I'd be happy to toy with a cupholder i can get from the jy for 5 dollars.

That looks nice. I think i'm just gonna put a boost guage or something where the 12 button nav was. It's not like it works anyway. Actually, that'd be a great place to put some guages.
