Re: seat swap?

It would be pretty easy. It's just a matter of measuring, cutting the mounting tabs off the stock seats, and welding them to the SRT-4 seats. I'm putting a set in my LeBaron.

Back from the dead...

You don't have to cut the feet off your stock seat tracks and weld them to the SRT4 Viper Seat bottoms. You can mod the SRT4 seat track feet to work just fine.

I haven't done mine yet. If you could post up the best way to do this, that would be awesome.

Re: seat swap?

I want to put a daytona/lebaron drivers seat in my duster. They're so comfortable! A couple weeks ago, at a party, I slept in my daytona seat for a few hours.

Re: seat swap?

I don't have them done yet but I can tell you how it will be done. Unfortunately, without an SRT4 seat to look at you may be lost with my description.

Both front and rear SRT4 seat track feat are welded to the track so you have to grind the weld down...and in the case of the rear feet you have to unbolt them also....and separate them from the track.

Once removed the SRT4 front feet need to be heated and bent at the same angle as the factory front feat.

The rear SRT4 feet are flat just like the stockers so no bending there. There is a support bar that bolts to both rear feet that will need to be removed and a section welded in to accommodate the width increase.

From there on out they feet just need to be space apart further from one another and welded back to the seat track. Use your factory seat/seat track for measurements.

Awesome!

Thanks. I have a pair waiting to go in. I'll have to give this way a go.

Re: seat swap?

Here are the SRT4 seats tack welded in to the CSX-T to check fit. Tomorrow they well be finish welded and painted. The next step is new carpet.

Q
Comfortable for 15 minutes of sitting. Then even less when all the fabric wears off in less than a year.
