Just curious if any of you installed it yourself into an H body, where did you find the plug? I can not find it for the life of me even after pulling the radio and glove box. I pulled the kick panel and I have the blue wire with the black stripe (fuel flow) so I know the plug is there somewhere! Next step is to try and trace the wire which is going to be a nightmare.

A89,

What year H-Bod? And what trim level? GTS?

It could be taped to another harness *almost* anywhere near the center console area. In my '89 GTS, it was right where one would expect it to be, behind the cassette tape storage bin.

Later,
Craig

86 GTS premium fully loaded with everything but the traveller . I have the tape holder out right now (not much use with an MP3 player) and it is for sure not back there, as I said, I think il have to tear the glove box out again and trace the fuel flow wire if that is even possible. At least now I know the car has it for sure!

The fuel consumption rates the Navigator uses come from the computer. Yes, it is possible to reprogram a calibration to correct for factors like fuel injector swaps, etc. I've done it in my car, I run +40s. If you already have or ever do purchase a custom calibration, inquire with the vendor about having this done. I can provide them the information if necessary, although I think at least Paul @ TU is on my support mailing list for D-Cal, so he already has it.

In terms of total tank volume... what capacity do L-body tanks have? 13 gallons isn't it (says Allpar)? That's pretty close to the rest of the family's fuel capacity at just under 14 gallons (52L says my owners manual).

A89Aries,

I had trouble locating my navigator plug on my daytona but it was there, where it was suppose to be for the daytona's. I couldn't find it because it was wrapped in that foam tape that they used to wrap the harness in. Couldn't see it right away cause it was blended in with the harness. Of course that crap crumbles as soon as you touch it. Also look for the single wire ground lead. It's got a black connector on it for the spade on the back of the NAV. It will also be taped to the harness, but my ground was not taped in foam, looked like generic scotch tape. It was visible. If you can find that, the NAV plug is just a few inches away. Good luck!

you probably need new buttons, as they all tend to wear out

I cant remember the part number, but you have to buy 12 replacement buttons, I think digikey sells them, and take the navigator apart and resolder the new ones in. Search on this site for navigator button replacement, etc and you should find the info you're looking for

Will the plug exist on an '87 Shelby Lancer? They all came with the cubby hole and the door always breaks off so I'd like to replace it with a navigator. I just got one on eBay with the plug pigtail but no sign of the connector in the dash.
