Is there any thing that I can do to get some more leg room in my Shadow? I am 6'6", and quite cramped while trying to drive. The shifting is no easy task, but I like the car and I am willing to do what it takes.

I like the stock seats, so is there a way I would retain them, and just move them back safely. I want to make sure that it will stay bolted to the floor if a crash should occur, so no bolting it to the floor pan. Thanks fin advance for the input guys.

a friend of mine is tall and he had the same problem with an omni, so he took out the seat and fabricated some new brackets to mount the seat back farther, welded 'em in and presto more leg room"thumbs up

Not sure how hard it would be on a Shadow, but I was able to add about 1.5” to a Charger by removing the tracks from the seat, grinding off the rivets that hold the track to the mounting brackets and then welding the brackets to the track approx 1.5” further forward. This is as far as I could go with the stock tracks. The completed setup works just like the original only now it’s further back. With some good strong welds it should be at least as strong as the original deal.

That was a great moment in simpsons history. As I recall the guy made nelson walk down the street with his pants around his ankles while sucking his thumb.

You would think so, but my brother is the same hight as me, and he has a much harder time fitting in vehicles. I don't know what it is, but it sucks.
