How do I remove the Key cyclinder from the steering column?
I have the FSM and it does not give any details as to how I am to remove the key cyclinder. I am swapping to a better steering columns and I need help with this task. I have the steering wheel off and the clock spring for the airbag out of the way but I can't figure this out.

If it's anything like the key cylinder on my Daily Driver, a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker Landau, you'll want to get a set of Tamper Proof Torx bits. I actually found a set of these in Sears one day.

After you remove all the Plastic Trim around the Steering Column, you'll see the Ignition Module. You should see the Torx screws in them. Some have busted out the raised metal in the recess of the screw and just used regular Torx screw bits on them afterward with no problems.

As previously stated, you'll want to leave your ignition key in the lock while doing this. Makes it easier to pull out the wheel cylinder. If I remember correctly, there is something that looks like a Roll Pin that must be depressed.

I recommend that you put some Graphite or White Lithium Grease in the wheel cylinder bore.
