Best gauge pod for a minivan?

Opinions on the "best" gauge pod for a minivan A-pillar. I don't know if I should go with the 78-93 Mustang pod or the L-body pod from FWD Performance. I know some tweaking with a heat gun will be required- but less is better! I had a Mustang pod in a L-body and it didn't fit too well (despite trimming and heating). Thoughts? Sick of having gauges tied to the steering column in my van.

Thanks!

Hey Frank, I'll bring some superglue for the tires if the starting line is like was these past couple years!

Yeah, that would be a nice clean install, I'd was thinking about putting gauges in that area too. But I'd much rather have something up on the dash/pillar so I can see where I'm going while keeping an eye on things.

There's an idea. I might just end using gauge cups on the top of the dash or on the pillar itself.

I'd say go for cups...they look good, and you can position the gauge so you can see them. When you put in pods from other cars, the angles are often off, and you cant read them as well as you should be able to.

I just screwed the cups right into the pillar. Wouldnt look as good as a molded pod but I am after more function than looks.

I am still contemplating putting guages in the side of a plastic diaper wipes box and sticking it on top of the dash in the line of sight. No holes, it will attach at the defroster outlet somehow. I still have a few of the boxes left from when the kids were smaller (no leftover diapers though).
Advantages: Stealthy, cheap, put goldfish and cherios on the floor with a baby seat for the Q ship disguise
Disadvantages: UGLY, not good for getting dates (not a factor, married) But actually some girls may like the idea.

I bought a SunPro universal dual gauge pod for my Caravan. It fit with little heat gunning and the angle of the gauges is perfect! Now to route the wires/hoses.... .... .... (if anyone knows of an easy way into the engine compartment for gauges... PM me!!)
