I also used a thin peice of plywood to hold speakers in my rear hatch. replaced the package tray with with plywood, cut holes in it for 6x9's and carpeted it. Even attacthed it to the seat back so it would fold up like a stocker.

A tip for making your hatch struts stronger. When you replace them... replace them with units for a 2-door Lbody with a rear spoiler... it will be plenty stronger.
Make sure it doesnt hit you in the chin when you turn the hatch key!

I'll have to do that. I knew that the 2 Door and 4 Doorr struts were the same but I didn't know that the 2 Door ones were stronger

It would only make sense since the two doors have a considerably larger hatch then the 4 doors
