scanned the l-body gauge cluster into their computer, changed colors, added speed to the speedo and modified the tach so it doesn't say 40 50 60, then printed it out on sticker paper? i'll be trying it this winter and im not sure if i'll ever get it to print out in the right proportions.

thanks for the link.

I've been thinking about doing this for a while. someone was making reproductins like this and had flipped colors but wasn't sure if it would work. if i can get it to work i should be able to do any color under the sun. for mine i'm going light grey, with garnett number and maybe blue lights shining through when headlights are on.if i get it to work i'll definitely sell em. the factory cluster leaves a little to be desired.

i might even research the temp and oil press gauges and put numbers on em. like say if the stock temp gauge goes from 100-250 i can put numbers all over it, and whatever you want your target to be i can put it on there so you know.

A little while back another member did almost the same thing, when i asked him how he did it he said he used a black light to light them up. He said he couldn't see them otherwise. He also used some sticker paper to print them on instead of photo paper and glue.

The covers in the guage cluster that are there from factory. only part i don't like about them is the guages in L body where cup and a flat piece doesn't work. you have cut lines so it curves around the guage. They are alot easier to read day and night. I have the guages saved on my computer and I could print them off whenever.

But I think I skrew up the speedometer becuase it moves to fast and is jumping and it goes backwards in reverse what the hell did I do to it? I took an old one apart and did the scaning. So all I did to the one in the car was pulled the needle off. and put it back where it was. I go 25 it goes 45 I go 55 it goes 95.
So I've been driving by RPM guage.
