I was wondering if anyone has, if it was worth it, and how well it went in. I really really need to replace the van carpet! Thinking about black, and painting the interior black as well... then getting black lights! The 70's are back!

I got mine from A1 Auto. They're on ebay and their site is something like A1auto.com likely

Good stuff. They'll send you a sample for free just to make sure you like the color/texture

Now, did the heel pads on the carpet they sold you match the OEM ones?

Nope - Didnt think about that. I have to redo it anyway because I cut a piece wrong. Oh, btw, you have to cut these to fit your car. That is a royal pita.

everywhere - all the sides, the center console out, near the rear seats and where the vert. top (where app.) stows (where I screwed up). You have to take out your seats of course, and locate the mounting points, make holes for that as well as the seat belts. Then there's the rear seat mounting holes....yeah
If your car is like mine, even in the shape its in, the door sill trim piece screws will be rusted and you will round off the phillips and have to drill them out.

That sounds like it sucks bigtime! The JC Whittney catalouge says that it is pre cut and pre molded... for like $79.

I might want the non-cut one for my van, as I have no rear seats and I don't want those ugly holes where the seats lock in.

All I know is, I want a black carpet and a black headliner! Might be hard, as I don't think they made black carpet stock for these vans

Dude...don't buy carpet from JC Whitney...look at this, it cost me $20 at home depot...

The line you see across the middle is just sunlight.

There's no molding to be done, so specially shipped and molded carpet is totally pointless....

Its home depot...they have every kind of carpet...I think you'll need about 6 ft wide by 12 foot long, but i'm not totally sure...I think its like $5 for a 1x12 area, $10 for 2x12, etc....

For a van, with a basically flat floor, its the only way to go...

And yes, thats very low stitching in the back...for the front (goes to about 3/4 the way to the back of the seats, i used a rubber backed floormat from costco....so, even if water gets out of my floormats, it aint getting on my floor...grin
