Yep, a GLHS will hit the 5 mph mark twice and a little more but that is a whole story in itself.

LOL... childs play... try 15 mph!!! Car (the "S") was still accelerating like gangbusters, let off)

The speedo in an SC will wrap all the way around as far as you can push it.

I've had it spin all around back to the 10 almost 15.. fastest ive ever gone in it.. Strange how the sunroof had a suction sound reguardless of it being closed and the windows being up.. even the side windows made some suction noise.. felt as though the front end got a little lighter..

87 GLHS 2.2 turbo intercooled graingered up to 21psi (2 cold starts and 2 pressure switches) stage 2 computer never cut out.. (some do, some dont i guess) one hell of a ride.. but id recommend adding a total of 5 quorts to the engine if your going to go top speed.. lost the bottom end after that run..
it was knockin pretty good after that happened.. shot it through 4th on the backside.. rod is fused to the piston and the rod itself looks like a twizzler.. its now a paper weight on my desk

I've had the needle on my GLHS past five a few times. Somehow the GLH never felt safe to push that far, only had it up to 100 or so.

There is a guy on Team Omni that makes really cool overlays for these guages, same size/style lettering, and fades from white to yellow to orange as the numbers go higher.
