It has been just about two years since I have driven my shelby charger (down for mods) and I cant remember if the speedometer needle stops at 85 or just keeps going around.

My first charger "non glhs" did go past 85 so I used to guess
how much I was speeding...But that car is long gone..still have the cluster. this past year, I got back into the hobby getting my
always wanted GLHS. Of course it goes beyond 85 as well.
If I knew about those little stickers way back then, I could have
purchased them from a dealer for my original shelby charger.

The one in the avitar. R.I.P.

lost more than a good car when it was wrecked..but thats another story!

me to the road and the trees get really burly. when I redid the gauges to white I put more numbers on after the 85 and the same distance as the rest.

How did you put extra numbers on it, did you have a shop do it, or did you do it and how?

I made home made white face guages and edit out the kilometer and added on to the spedometer. THere much easier to read at night they glow a Greenish white color.

I know for a Fact the speedo will go all the way to back to 5. You should've seen the look on the guys face when he saw the four cylinder instead of a v8 that just beat his firedbird. That was on stock motor with 15 lbs of boost and no intercooler.

I've had mine around to the 5 as well. I think this is 135mph. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Its been a while since I've seen a GLHS decal for the speedo, but 135 mph seems about right. I wished I'd grabbed a few of those decals when we were making them.
