Don't try to take out the plastic panel! I made this mistake, but some epoxy fixed that. Hehe.

You have to remove the entire door panel. Just stick a screwdriver (flat) or some type of wedge on the bottom and side and you will pop out the connectors. Make sure to unscrew your arm rest and anything thats connected with it.

The speaker size is 5 1/4 if you didn't know. It's a pretty direct fit onto the bracket, was a breeze when I installed mine.

My car is a 88 ES, so I don't know if its all the exact same stuff, or if you have a non-powered windows it might be different.

Be cautious is all I can say.

Hope this helps.

No problem. Glad I can actually be helpful on this forum.

Although I did have splice new connectors onto the speakers (haven't upgraded the receiver yet). So if you are using stock receiver you'll have to do that.

With the stock receiver and my blaupunkt speakers the sound is awesome. That's with tape or a cd to tape converter. I can't wait to get a new receiver in that pumps out more than ?5? RMS to each speaker and ?25? S/N ratio. *chuckle*

If you have any other Q's let me know.
