What other vehicle seats could I mount to the manual seat tracks in a 89 Plymouth Voyager SE? The driver's seat is a little flat and worn out. The inside is maroon. On that note, if anyone has some maroon seats in cloth, lemme know. Thanks!

I'm with ya. I'd like to have one of those 1 seaters. It looks like the tracks will support a single seat, instead of a bench. I think that would be the cat's meow.

Well, the van does have the SE bucket seats in it. I was wondering if the Daytona seat would bolt onto the track already in place for the SE bucket instead of making me custom fabricate some pieces which I don't have the time and resources to do.

daytona seat will bolt onto the bases in a minivan. only thing you need to do is round out the holes in the bases, to be able to get the bolt thru the base and into the bottom of the daytona seat. if you test fit a daytona seat on the mini base you will seat it is about 1/4 inch wider. but they will work as i hold 87 shelby daytona seats in my turbo mini.

I've been pondering a set of power Daytona seats in my van, so this thread is rather interesting to me...What about armrests? I'm very used to having something to rest my arm on (consoles in my 'tona and 4runner, armrests in the van). Anyone take a good look at whether the van armrests could be bolted to the Daytona seats?

Thanks

i put seats in from a suzuki swift. they have the racy wrap around effect going on, and they look sweet! you could look for some of those. they are kinda hard to find though. and they take a bit of modding.

What about seat height? Aren't these other seats you all are mentioning car seats? The van seats have a tall bottom half to make them more upright. The seating position in a car is much different, and would seem to me to be very low. Any issues with ergonimics?

I'd have no problem with mounts, as I have a buddy whose welder is like his right hand...I am very happy with the power enthusiast seat in my Daytona and would like to carry one over to the van...my big issue is with having something to rest my elbows on once a car-type seat is in. I drove a 2006 caravan on a 4-hour trip, and was more impressed with the seats of my 86 4runner than the ones in the brand-new Dodge. I am curious if anyone has taken both seats apart (top and bottom) and if so, would it be possible to bolt the armrest portion on to the Daytona seats? Or, instead of that, has anyone put a console from something else in that would essentially duplicate the Daytona seat/console door armrest relationship? Also keep in mind that my van will be 5-speed by July...

My 5-speed has an SE seat w/ armrest and I can easily reach the gear selector (which is an A520 per Gary D.) with the arm rest down. If the Daytona seat is tall enough--which I still have problems believing until I see it--then I see no problem.

Sorry guys, my bad...I guess I misstated the question...I'm not worried about reaching the stick, but I am worried about losing the armrests on the van seats when I put the Daytona ones in...I am wondering what it would take to remount the armrests to the daytona seats, so I still have somewhere to put my arm when not shifting...
