i was wondering what other type of seats will fit in a k-car?

i got a pair of 87 shelby seats. i used the track from the orginal seats and when i put the seats in, they didnt fit. the width of the mounting frame was narrower than the stock seats. why did mopar do this?

you may end up shimming them or drilling new holes and getting different hardware but its a lot easier them making the base fit the floor
