I have a 1983 dodge omni and I need to lift it up to do some exhaust work and I've tried lifting it with chains to the front bumper but have no luck it there a special way to do this. I will be putting jack stands under it when i'm done lifting it. The reason for this is my jack won't go high enough for me to work on my exhaust!:dancing:

make friends with somebody with a lift LOL luckily my dad has a lift in his shop

drive on ramps are the best and safest for the height you need

sweet lord, look drive the front end on the ramps.
then jack up the left or right rear u choose, one side at a time, using good 2x4 as spacers on the jack plate to get ur height to get it on a jackstand on that side.
repeat for other side till car is completely off the ground.

remember its FWD soon as its on ramps lock the brakes.

BUT DON'T WORK ALONE UNDER THE VEHICLE
HAVE SOMEONE STANDING BY TO PULL UR ASS
OUT FROM UNDER THE CAR INCASE OF!!!!
