Resto's are always good. I've done a few on various cars. One of these days I'll put one back to bone stock.

Mike...it better be a FULL resto at this point! You may not get another chance to really do it right..especially with the interior the way it is!

Oh, and you BETTER get your butt in gear! I swear if I finish my black car before you finish that '84 you'll never hear the end of it! LOL

That's fantastic. I believe that's only the 2nd other garnet '84 I've seen other than my own.

Your pictures are great...for as long as I've had my car and you just made me realize I've never looked at the spare tire.

Thanks.

84 tail lamps lost the "lip" that hangs over the rear bumper from what i can tell. other than that.... everything else is same. so they all interchange back and forth . my 83 shelby was 110hp carb'd with the odd ball cam gear, and special pcm.

Re: Shelby Charger featured in Shelby Times #4 found in weeds

Well the SC has been with me for just about a year and a half now. Over this time I've been collecting as many cool direct connection pieces as I can find. If you've followed this thread this car has just about every performance related DC piece that was available when Mr McPeak built this car back in the early to mid 80's. My additions will include restored GLHS steering wheel, chrome trans pan w/ chrome bolts, DC performance timer, duel weber 45's and any other cool DC piece that comes about.

I'm happy to say the SC still runs and drives and its only current problem is a cracked fuel line back at the tank that I need to replace (all under hood lines replaced last year). I just love to get in this car and cruise the roads. The classic L body rattles, slightly rich exhaust from the jetted DC carb and tune of the DC header make this car a real treat to drive.

Oh yeah! More exciting news is that I recently closed on a new home with a 2 car garage. Out of my small fleet of vehicles, the Shelby and my 73 VW now reside out of the weather.

1984 SC <-for sale!

Nice save.
And the interior being a 9/10 makes it that much easier to restore.
BTW: Bill McPeak, the gentleman with the pristine 1986 GLHS who was always at SDAC conventions?

Thanks for the comment, Jim.

Yes, thats the guy. This was his wifes car.

His GLHS is listed for sale in the SDAC national news letter.

Nope. Drove it for a few years then parked it. I'm willing to sell it as I've moved on to different things.
