I saw this video a couple of years ago and used this idea to shave the turbo flange on my exhaust manifold and to remove the gasket that the machine shop "never put in" after milling the head....

It took me way longer than 1/2 an hour, but worked darn slick!

Cause aluminum is much softer than steel but OMG NO! Take it to the machine shop and have it done for $50. Damn redneck hicks and hacks and you tube :

As rob said 90% of the time you dont want to mill an OHC head, as the warpage is also seen through the cam girdles. So you headstud that and "bend it back" into shape to the block to keep the cam bores aligned where they need to be.

Got a good friend that tells a story about the guy that owns a shade tree garage in his family property. Story goes that he drags cylinder heads by chain down, around, and back up the concrete driveway to the shop, calls it machining and charges $50 for the in-house service.
