Re: 2005 neon srt-4

the pipe is the intercooler pipe...comes out the bottom of the turbo under the motor..thenthrough the intercooler and into the throttle body

Re: 2005 neon srt-4

Any pics, It probably is an intercooler pipe. Do you know why you are getting such horrible mileage? 10 is very bad even for a 500 hp SRT.

Re: 2005 neon srt-4

Likely a bad oil pressure sensor is causing the intermittent light. Had that same issue with my 05 Pacifica. It was also triggering a P0522 code. Key off-on 3 times and read in the digital display area, if P0522 then i'd suspect a bad sensor.

codes are always the first place to look, then look at the sticky for what the code means

Re: 2005 neon srt-4

I for sure would not run 87 octane in a SRT-4. Min 91 octane. You are probably getting a lot of knock from running that low of octane.

It seems like the oil sending unit/oil pressure sensor is going out on you.

Re: 2005 neon srt-4

I have never run any less than 93 octane in mine.

Re: 2005 neon srt-4

Definitely sounds like a vac/boost leak.
Need to run the codes. Lowest I ever got in my SRT is 17 beating the crap out of it

Re: 2005 neon srt-4

you might also check the level of your clutch oil.... I had this issue in mine long ago, freaked me out.
as for 10mpg, i'm not sure why you are there, sounds like you need a tune up cause i'm at 300 to the wheels on stock turbo and still get 21 city... FYI, never run anything less than 91, knock and detonation are very, very bad...

Re: 2005 neon srt-4

Bought 2004 Neon SRT4 a year ago totally stock with 12,000 miles. It sat for 2 years. I've put about 20,000 miles on it. Has never really run great, now a lot of hesitation engine light on with TPS code. Any ideas to get this running great? throttle body/injector cleaning?
