first is the common 3.0 as installed by Chrysler. this motor is in fact a Mitsubishi 6G72
next is the same motor installed in a dodge stealth
now the same motor installed in the Mitsubishi montero
and the Mitsubishi diamante
now the 3.0 DOHC in N/A form
3.0 twin turbo
3.0 24 valve SOHC

3.8 installed into a Galant as a mod. only pic I could find that was good and clear.

MIVEC 3.8 - MIVEC motors (the odd 3.0/3.5 DO exist, overseas I believe) are usually identifiable by the hump on the valve covers as seen below
2nd version of the 3.0 SOHC 24v: 10:1 with variable intake (Eclipse GTS). Version posted above by knightmoves is 9:1 without variable intake

Anybody know if there was ever a RWD (not AWD) transmission for the 6g family. (manual or auto) and it what the relative strength of said transmission.

the montero sport had an uncommon 2wd transmission (auto I assume) mated to the 3.0. I haven't seen one or know of much info on it either. Most Montero's I've seen have been AWD...
