2,2 Turbo II placed lenghtwise?

Hello,

what do you think, is it possible to use this engine in some project car placed lenghtwise? Some conversion of oilpan needed?

yes it's been done many times..

the 87-94 Dodge Dakota RWD pickup truck used a (non-turbo) 2.2/2.5 so the bellhousing/clutch/trans from one of those is often used

do a search for 'turbo dakota'

you'll need the dakota oil pan and pick up tube as it's a rear sump

Actually, 87-95. But you will also need a crankshaft that is drilled for the thrust bearing.
