flywheels

What vehicles can I look for to replace a flywheel for a 85 2.2 turbo standard?

You need a 6-bolt flywheel. There are two different ones, 215mm and 230mm. The n/a cars generally used the smaller 215mm disc and turbo cars got the 230mm. Either flywheel will work, just buy the right size clutch for it.

Any '85 and earlier manual transaxle equipped FWD 2.2L dodge flywheel should work.

We have one that is supposed to be from a 82 Reliant K car N/A and the bolt pattern on the fly wheel is different than on the crankshaft and so it doesn't fit. Perhaps they sold us the wrong one or is there a difference in the crankshafts between years?

Are both flywheels 6-bolt? If so, did you try rotating the flywheel on the crank snout, until all the bolt holes lined up? The flywheel will only bolt on one way, because one of the holes is offset.

Cool

Thank you for all your help. Did get the flywheel to line up. Will a distributor from a 85 work with a 88 computer? Trying to use a 85 2.2 turbo engine to replace an 88 2.2 turbo engine. Changing all the turbo etc so will work with computer. Will the distributor from the 85 work with the 88 computer?
