I was trying to retore this car but it sounds like there are no original tubing systems out there. I found some bits and pieces on ebay I could use, but I can see where they wlll be a pain to cut in.
I have the splitter that goes from one large pipe to 4 little pipes, I'll have to find out where to put that one.
I'll keep plugging away...
F the ricer/ford Vac block. Sorry but I hate that piece of outdated Tech that slows the signals to the ECU down. To me it's the lazy way out and just clutters up the engine bay as well. There's a reason electromotive ECU's told you to keep the vac lines as short as possible back in the day. There's a reason car companies now bolt the MAP directly to the intake manifold. You want that signal instantly or you risk melting a piston.
Anyway, having that 4 way splitter is a big piece of the pie. all the rest is easy.
Plenty of original pieces out there. Or at least enough to make it look stock/original. Scour the j-yards for plenty of nice factory rubber ends that work. 3.3 Minivans are probably the easiest to get the rubber ends from

I run the polyurethane line myself as it's more flexible, can bend tighter before kinking, and flows just a bit better. You do have to be careful in your routing though as it has a lower melting point so if it touches the 180 degree cylinder head it'll melt shut. But I just watch where I route it and it lasts forever.

After I got done modifying it. I removed all the 5/32 and 1/4" line that goes too and from the purge canister and throttle body as it's just emmisions junk and isn't needed in our state
He needed something a little newer with a baby on the way so he sold it on Ebay. Just as the bidding was over it developed a misfire so he told the buyer and the agreed to cancel the deal and he sold it to me for $250.
I knew it needed a headgasket so I drove it the mile home and pulled it apart
He never changed the oil in the 6 months he had owned it!! I don't know when the owner before that had changed the oil and by how slow it came out of the oil filter I'd bet it was at least 3-4 years. And if you look closely in the right side of the picture you can see the cause of the misfire. Yep, threw a rocker arm.
After putting on a new headgasket and changing the oil to Mobil 1 10w30.
Motor runs great and has good compression. I was going to post the last pic to show a better pic of how the vac lines are routed but had to also explain why I had the valve cover off :)
