Splicing 89 van bulkhead to 87 bulkhead connector HELP.

Okay, Cleaned up my 1989 Turbo mini harness tonight. Removed all the old rotted cloth tape, and retaped the whole harness with nice new sticky friction tape. Looks almost new again.

So I am planning on splicing this bulkhead connector (50 pin) into a 1987 bulkhead (40 pin) and I am coming across some questions, and some needs.

I am currently using a diagram from a 1989 daytona turbo.... plenty of circuits I don't need. But does it accurately reflect the harness of a 89 mini or do I need a 1989 turbo mini specific wiring diagram?? if so, anyone have one they can scan?

Circuits I have not used yet from the 89 :
1(battery feed)
2,3,30,31(park brake switch)
35&36 (windshield wiper motor)
39(Ambient sensor)
40(Ambient sensor)
41(brake sense)
42(distance indicator)
43(ignition switch)
44(fuel flow signal)

Circuits I have not found yet for the 87 harness:
6(charging circuit alternator)
9(fuel pacer lamp)
19(Wiper motor)
20(wiper motor)
37(alternator field term)

So Basically it looks like this so far:

1987 Harness------1989 Harness

1--------7
2--------7
3--------7
4--------47/45/50?
5--------6
6--------?-----------1/43??
7--------27
8--------28
9--------?-----------44?
10-------38
11-------8
12-------37
13-------21
14-------49
15-------45
16-------46
17-------17
18-------18/19?
19-------?----------35/36???
20-------?----------35/36???
21-------32
22-------32
23-------32
24-------26
25-------23
26-------23
27-------19
28-------blank
29-------34
30-------blank
31-------33
32-------24
33-------29
34-------22
35-------48
36-------10
37-------???-------1/43???
38-------49
39-------5
40-------50

Does this look right? Can anyone with experience/knowledge help me?
Thanks in advance. I really can use the help. ~~Heath

Get the van printout, not something you want to do twice.
I just put a van SMEC harness in a SBEC vehicle and the
printout will help you shed a lot of useless wires. You are
probably going to find the van and daytona share same air
and fuel pinouts but now is the time to be sure.

I've got a conversion diagram I made when going from 87 L-body to 89 SMEC. It won't let me upload it from my computer for some reason (stupid foreign host error ). If you want them, I can e-mail them unless you can help me upload it.

Scratch that, search "L-body SMEC conversion". I had the diagram posted in that thread. I'm computer stupid so I don't know how to put the exact link here. I'm an idiot

I can post pinouts from my 89 van FSM tonight after I get home. I'll just have to see if Turbododge.com will let me. If not, I'll put it somewhere and post the link. Anything else from the 89 vanm FSM needed?

Yeah...something's up with your fax machine, man! I sit right in front of ours, and I watched it all day. All we got were business faxes and promises of free cruises.

If whoever needs pinouts will PM me, I can either post it somewhere or email. On the 600ES stuff, I did a TurboII into my 85 LeBaron, which is basicly the same car.
