195 60 15 size option the size increases by only 4.9 percent

looks like 205 60 15 will rub if your 205 55 16 rubbed

195 60 is taller than 205 55. maybe that would squeeze into the well without issue.

I used a calculator on line to determine that I gained approximately 700rpm switching to the 555 from the 3.08 diff 525 from before. if I switched to the 195 60 15 tire size I would reduce the rpm back approximately 160 rpm. these numbers are not considering the 4th gear ratio difference between the two, so it will be closer to 200rpm drop. thinking about the 700 rpm increase upsets me but a 540- 500 rpm increase after bringing the rpm back down with tires isn't as bad.

this is good info for all of us with light weight cars. I think the 195 60 15s might be the best tire size.


anyone have the 195 60 15s installed currently on a "L" body?
