Best A/T for conversion

I am planning on converting the manual trans. in my 82 rampage to A/T. from what car would be the best transmission that would be compatible for my 82 rampage? I want to make my truck a pleasure to drive rather then constant shifting. Thanks

1985 and older 2.2 equipped Chrysler product.

1985-86 made changes:

Crankshaft, 6 bolt to 8

Flexplate 3 bolt convertor to 4 bolt.

Convertor drive hub from notches to flats.

Thanks
Randy

An A413 AT from any L Body '82 or '83 AT LEAST. Maybe other years, IDK.

You'll need an AT motor mount bracket, detent cable & carb bracket, speedo cable, floor shifter/cable & its housing.

Maybe someone here has converted their AT to a manual and still has the parts...

Re: Best A/T for conversion

Thanks for the info. I see a few on ebay from Chrysler LeBarons in the 85 ' years. I would think you could use an after market shifter and match the lever on the trans to match the shifter pattern. but I would prefer an original if I can find one.

Re: Best A/T for conversion

Does the dodge 2.2 have a 8 bolt crank? I don't see how a 8 bolt would bolt up. Thanks Bill
