1984 Dodge Rampage daily driver MN

Going to be using the rampage as my daily. I got it from my pops a few years ago. I got rid of all the vacuum crap and put a weber 32/36 DFEV

The seat is terrible. I would like to swap a neon seat or something that sits a little lower (head hits roof). With that tilt wheel would be nice. Anybody have any donor vehicle recommendations?
Thanks Samuel E

Re: 1984 Dodge Rampage daily driver MN

Welcome!!

Sorry for your damage but the truck looks nice.

Lots of deer in my area so I always drive with one hand on the horn pad.

Noise is the only thing I've found that makes deer change directions instantly.

I recently bought one, white W tan interior but plan on black W red interior.

Is yours red inside??

Thanks
Randy

If Bubba, the previous owner of my Rampage had that situation, he'd probably
have his brother Scooter weld some rebar on it! LOL
But maybe you should bolt some braces on those spots before the next deer comes along...

Re: 1984 Dodge Rampage daily driver MN

best thing to scatter wildlife from the road in front of you is the high/low beam switch rather than the horn

flashing the high beams fast breaks the hypnotic thing the animals have going on when caught by our headlamps

and sorry to say that lill' rampage isn't and hasn't been safe to drive for a long time already

Re: 1984 Dodge Rampage daily driver MN

Your deer must be different than our local ones!!

The ones that jump out of ditches and into vehicles aren't hypnotized by light.

They do tend to run where the light shines but only sound will have them reverse course.

Flashing the lights doesn't affect them at all.

At my rural home the Deer sometimes walk right up on my deck looking for bird seed.

They don't even flinch when I turn on the outside lights.

But, any sound, and they are gone in a flash.

Same thing on the road when a deer runs out in front of a car, blast the horn and they change direction immediately!!

Thanks
Randy

Well, where there's a will there's a way.
My mechanic did mention to me that frames could be repaired. Guess it would have to be an experienced welder that knows exactly what he's doing...

Yeah, floor pans are one thing but the frame? I tend to agree...
