Spirit lowering springs

Dad gifted me with his 1995 Dodge Spirit last month when he bought himself his first new vehicle (2019 Cherokee). Just a plain Jane 2.5 auto with gold package, but garage kept it's whole life. 35,000 miles and original paint.

I'm likely going to put some pumper wheels on it I and eventually have them painted white to match the car, but before I go through that trouble, I was hoping there was some lowering springs available somewhere to help improve the stance. From what I've read, Eibach 2804 was the proper set, but I've not been able to find anything available. Anyone have a set available ?

I also like the look of the ES and R/T models with the lower front spoiler and side skirts, so if you know of any (with a reasonable shipping cost to the East Coast of Canada, please let me know)

Re: Spirit lowering springs

might not look bad as is with as much sidewall as you can add & still turn left N right

my blue car below had 215 60 15's and rode sooo much better than a 205 60 or 225 50 ever could

Re: Spirit lowering springs

afaiik there aren't any 'lowering springs' available anymore for our TD's ..

seems like you have a couple options:
1. cut your existing springs to achieve the desired drop; cost $0 + labor.. resulting spring will be 'stiffer'
2. get a used set of 'factory lowered' spirit R/T ;shadow ES; daytona Z etc. springs which *should* be shorter and a bit stiffer, but your drop will be unknown until installation, and you may need to revert to cutting some coils anyways to get yur desired stance
3. order a set of new EEK springs (I think the reliant wagon would be the stiffest but tallest? a 'Shelby Z' would be smidge shorter) and install, then trim to desired ride height(s)..

if you look at rockauto there are oodles of choices, but only some of them give any data about what you're getting..

Re: Spirit lowering springs

Thanks for the info......I'll likely will just go with a slightly larger tire size to help with the gap.....I'm not in the game anymore for extensive labour to modify existing equipment and hoping for the desired results....

Re: Spirit lowering springs

understand that.. I'm not either, which is why I have a couple great mechanics.. usually I 'help'

And this work is not really that extensive..
get it done along with new struts/shocks to 'distribute' the labor cost ;)

on my '13 ram 'lowering spring kit' install, we pulled the front springs once (took extra 30 minutes to R&R) and rears 3 times (they're easier, took <45 minutes) to trim..
Because the "advertised" 2"/4" (F/R) drop was only 1"/2" when installed...

So.. even when buying a kit supposedly for your Specific Application,.,.
there is often modification or 'adjustment' required...

There are lowerings springs available and I can get as many as you want. These are sold in Mexico. I'm not sure how much shipping will be but springs will cost around $220..

AG Kit is the brand. I think they are made in Argentina, but they are very very popular here in Mexico.

Re: Spirit lowering springs

I'd sure like to see some pics if anyone's ever used these springs on the dodge spirit? Any information on drop rate over the stock ones?

Re: Spirit lowering springs

My Spanish isn't very good, but they don't seem to list a kit for the old TDs on their website. Just Neon and PT.

I don't think there's anybody using them in the US since they are only sold in Mexico. Like I said they are very popular here since they are the only lowering spring available as a direct fit. I will put some pictures so you can see them. The drop rate is very similar to the Eibach springs.

You are looking at AG kit page from Argentina. If you search "AG Kit Spirit Shadow" you will see the AG Kit page from Mexico. Either way, I will translate the specs here:

Front spring height: 335 mm
Front spring coils: 8
Rear spring height: 265 mm
Rear spring coils: 7
