Re: 1987 Shelby air box

Ok, here are your pictures. Short straight hose is just a piece of NAPA 2 1/4" radiator hose. I can't find the piece of flex hose, but it would be too long for an L body anyway. The lower rear corner of the outer part has a broken retainer where the clamp goes. I probably dropped it one time and lost it. Case seals together without it. There is supposed to be a small foam or what looks like woven fiber in the corner where the PCV system connects.

OmniPotent is still going, I have bought items from them as have others. Site is a bit dated ...but it works.

Sounds reasonable, I'll never use them again, better they go to someone who needs them. Let me see what size box before I completely commit to the deal.

Re: 1987 Shelby air box

Ok, it will not fit in a priority flat rate box. I will have to find a box it will fit in and get a cost. Where I live I only have two choices, USPS or FedEx, maybe UPS, but it may only be a drop off. PM me with an address so I can price the options for you.

Re: 1987 Shelby air box

I think probably USPS 3rd class (cheapest) or something like that for a large box. Don't kill yourself getting all prices just USPS should be fine. let me know

Re: 1987 Shelby air box

That is my plan, I am going through my various boxes for the smallest that everything fits safely in and can be secured so nothing gets broken, should be able to ship today.

Re: 1987 Shelby air box

Your parts are ready to go, just awaiting payment. If you don't use the methods I suggested, I sent my address and you can send a money order, parts will ship then.

Re: 1987 Shelby air box

The 86 and 87 GLHS used a specific airbox bracket and hose from the box to the intercooler. I have both NOS.
The airbox was standard TII with the exception of the upper rear fitting being cut shorter to facilitate installing the hose from the airbox to the throttle body. I have a correct air box as well
I also have the rest of the hoses you need and the correct clamps. All of it came from Steve Thornton from Shelby Automobiles.

I posted photos to illustrate the differences and a photo of the available intake parts.

Contact me through private message if you are interested.

I also have quite a bit of NOS and very good condition used GLHS specific parts. I'm not building these cars anymore, so all of it is for sale.
