Shelby Charger Headlight Covers

I have seen the headlight covers in a magazine before. Does anyone know of anywhere to get them?

Re: Shelby Charger Headlight Covers

I've seen them on eBay before. Not sure if it'll fit a Shelby Charger.

Re: Shelby Charger Headlight Covers

blue car above might have GT Styling headlight covers - try googleing gt styling or gts headlight covers for your car
they make them for just about everything
should cost 40-60 bucks I'd think

Re: Shelby Charger Headlight Covers

I notice the ones on the blue car seem to have hidden fasteners. That is one reason I have avoided finding and installing a set, the thought of poking holes in my bumper cover gives me daymares!

Re: Shelby Charger Headlight Covers

https://www.jegs.com/i/GT-Styling/480/GT0608C/10002/-1

here is the link of the ones i just purchased. however i read an amazon review on this part number saying that they were for a dual headlight charger.
i didnt even know that there was a non shelby model till today, and when i looked up dodge charger on google i found pictures of a non shelby model with 2 headlights per side.
all the product images from this company are generic, and there are no images of them installed online.
so if i were you id hold off on purchasing them until i receive mine and can confirm their compatability, but honestly after reading that amazon review im a bit skeptical about receiving the right part.

Re: Shelby Charger Headlight Covers

The ones with 4 headlights are 1984 and newer non Shelby Chargers

EG:Rampage, Turismo and Charger

All 1983 and older were 2 headlight

and

1984-87 Shelby Charger

The Shelby Charger domed hood only fits 2 headlight bumper covers.

Thanks
Randy

I had the gts covers on my rampage back in highschool. They would not be hard to make. Its just flat plexiglass cut to shape with an edge guard on the perimeter. Behind it was two 3"x 1/2" plastic L bracket with 3M double sided tape to mout to body. Then 3M dual lock velcro on the bracke and back of plexiglass. The velcro was in case you needed to change bulbs. No drilling required.

Re: Shelby Charger Headlight Covers

the GTS ones are nice and simple
they are just a simple flat piece with the edging as described above and mount with a F shaped plastic mount on either side
the cover fits in between the fingers at the top of the F and the F mounts along it's long flat side to the car

this allows the cover to be removable ... kinda but definitely NOT IN THE COLD

I had a set on my daytona - cold stuff looses flex and starts to crack or rip when you start bothering it

the MOPAR PERF /D-C ones are much nicer as they are blistered or contoured slightly - so that they are not flat and are probably even better aerodynamically
however they mount with some big ugly twist fasteners or screws and mount to brackets screwed to the car

the MP/DC ones are way nicer but the gts mounting is much cleaner

however I don't think you could ever run the risk of having one of the MP/DC ones blow off

I have a set of tinted MP/DC ones , I wish I had a clear set instead

I'd really like to find a way to copy to blistered profile in a new set of lenses without the MP/DC mounting holes in them though
