Softening dry leather seats and dash

Does anyone have any tips on softening dried leather seats. I just got an 89 TC and the seats and dash are dry and somewhat hard from being in the sun/ elements.
Any advice on a process or products to use would be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of thoughts on this, but here is a rating of leather conditioners: https://10carbest.com/best-leather-conditioners. I use the last one on the list and like it. Be sure to clean the leather before you condition it, and keep in mind that these products can only do so much. They can't work miracles! Good luck!

Thank you for the replies. That was an informative article. Also, I didnít realize some products may darken the leather changing the original color.

Re: Softening dry leather seats and dash

Same with the seats in my TC but Iím afraid to sit in them without softening them up, Iím afraid they may crack/ rip, then theyíre ruined for sure.

You might try the elephant leather preserver kit. I saw it on fast and loud and it worked great.
