Re: Valve Cover Paint

I used the VHT paint and thought it looked pink too. So I shot a thin coat of rattle can touch up paint over it to make it red. I thought it looked fine matching the red body color.

spirit1991 I can't post photos here, for whatever reason. I have them on my FB account or I can email some.

Re: Valve Cover Paint

^ really? I have been looking for a perfect factory wrinkle red for more than 10 years. Can you post pics of what they did? Is the wrinkle pattern as "deep" as factory? Many powders are not as deep and the colors are close but not perfect

spirit1991 I can't help too much, but if you look up a local place here called Bonehead Performance (Warminster, PA), they matched mine perfectly. I don't know where your located but I can't recommend anyone more highly than them. You can send the cover(s) out to them as well. A dead perfect match as far as color and texture. And I am very particular with my TIII's to say the least. They do ALL my powdercoating. Absolute perfection on every item, big or small.

Does anyone where to get the correct color red wrinkle finish paint?
FYI, VHT is not even close, its pink by comparison.
