•October 1 - is the date for the "Biggest Car Show Roundup in Virginia", presented by the Southern Knights Cruisers Car Club. This will be the 17th Annual Southern Knights Cruisers Veterans Car and Bike Show and is being held at Richard Bland College in Petersburg, VA 23805. The rain date for this show will be the next day, Sunday, October 2, 2016. The Show will start at 8:00am and end at 4:00pm. The Show will benefit the charities that help our country’s military veterans. The charities are the “Fisher House”, “McGuire Veterans Hospital’s Recreational Therapy Department”, and “Fort Lee’s Holiday Helper Association”. This open show attracts the highest quality show cars from Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. You don't want to miss this year’s show, where over 300 show cars, trucks, and bikes are expected to attend! No matter what you like, Antiques, Classics, Muscle Cars, Street Rods, Customs, Compacts, Off Road Trucks, Custom trucks, Antique Military Trucks, Antique Fire Trucks, Antique Police Cars, Race Cars and Bikes, they will be there. All total, there will be more than 140 awards given out at this year’s show. Because of increased interest each year, this show continues to grow. •October 8th - The Oldies But Goodies Classic Cruizers will again host their annual “Fall Classic” Car, Bike and Truck show on October 8th, registration starts at 08:00 am until 12:00, at Strosnider Chevrolet at 5200 Oaklawn Blvd, Hopewell, VA 23860. Please mark this show on your calendar as it is a “can’t miss” event. It is a judged show with over 50 awards including top 25 for 1979 and older and top 25 for 1980 and newer. A host of “best of” awards such as best Chevrolet, Ford, Mopar, Bike etc. One “Best of show” in each of the two year categories, awards will start at 02:00 in the afternoon. Cash prizes as well. Pre-registration is $15 and day of the show is $20. Vendor spaces are available and fill up quickly. Unique piston trophies unlike anything you have seen.
