Man that thing was hidden away in someone's collection, probably the lowest mile Shelby car out there. Are you planning on driving and enjoying it? I certainly would be.

I use those triangle shaped welded on pieces that stick down a little from the floor near the rear axle bushings.

under the main trailing arm bushings? its a nice round shape that fits the stands. I wouldnt put anything under the floor or even the front rails.

Re: 1989 CSX VNT with 774 miles

I’m in the process of relocating the jack stands from the rear suspension to another location so I have more space to remove the gas tank. Where is a safe place to leave the jack stand. I noticed another welded bracket under the drivers floor seat pan?

It will be base fuel pressure plus amount of boost your running. For example, 55 +12 PSI = 67 PSI. The boost reference port on regulator is there to overcome the boost pressure. Under vacuum, it will be 8-10 PSI under static PSI.

Should be 52-55 PSI with vacuum/pressure line disconnected (static).

Re: 1989 CSX VNT with 774 miles

inspect what you've got first, Id keep the original parts, why not drop the tank? its not too hard. its coming out anyway right/

drain the tank, put a small jack under the tank, disconnect the lines and electrical leads, take the 4 phillips screws out from around the gas filler tube, remove the 2 fasteners on the gas tank straps, after it drops down somewhat you rotate the filler tube and pull it out. tank should just drop at this point.
