  1. Project Log
Hey Everyone! We've been building up a 1989 Shelby Daytona here at the shop, and we've been filming the entire cylinder head inspection, rebuild, and port-n-polish job while we're at it. I wanted to say Thank You to everyone here at Turbo Dodge for all the great info and advice we've collected...
  2. Turbo Dodge Help
I blew a head gasket one day in my Lebaron when it hit overboost. It also damaged my head. I put a g head on there that I had laying around (without doing my research). To begin with, it was fine, the usual 6000 rpm redline...a few days later, every time I hit like 4500 or 5000 rpm, it'd sound...

  6. Engine - Turbo & Block
So I have a 88' Non-CB with a 89+ cross-drilled head and I may need to change the head gasket. I might have a intake leak which really means pulling the head to check it lol. I'm not sure which gasket i'll need. I think its the 005 seeing how the block isn't cross drilled so no need for the...
  7. Turbo Dodge Help
Shouldnt. Usually bars leak will work its way into the craks/leaks as a paste, then when it gets hot, it will sloidify. It doesn't weld itself to the car, its copper (or most bar's leaks are made froma copper derivative of some kind) If it would mess with the head, people wouldn't spray their...
  8. Turbo III
took my head off because engine was overheating and oil and coolant were mixing, most likely a blown gasket. Had the head pressure tested and resurfaced. The machine shop said that it wasnt cracked and that when they resurfaced it they took "less then 5 off". Dont really know what that...
