1/64 Clue PT Cruiser

I found a tiny little PT Cruiser at our local toy store from Johnny Lightning...It's for a game of clue. It has an image of Mrs.White on the top with a noose on the side and came with a card that had a location.
The quality is pretty good and the details are all painted on. The plastic they used for the windows has a purple tint to it. It's most obvious on the windshield. It has pretty good details on the inside of the car as well.. I see a full steering wheel and accurate climate controls/radio. Center cupholder and console is there. Rear shelf, although hatch doesn't open. It also has "Parker Brothers" with some stripes instead of an edition badge on the bottom left of the hatch. Made in China for all those who are worried about that.

I found it online since I can't get my photos uploaded.

It's a fun toy to play with at your desk, it rolls really well. They apparently also have a green monopoly one.

These have been out for several years and yes they are nice to have in the collection.
Ahhh... never seen it before. :)
There was also a Monopoly PT in green chrome.
Is green even an available color for a PT? I keep seeing green scions and think how much Id love a car that color.
Well, not the shade that JL used. There was Aquamarine on the '01 only, Onyx Green in '03, Seamist Green in '04, and Melbourne Green (looks like a very dark shade) for 2008.
The Johnny Lightning Monopoly PT I have is two-tone...green top and black fenders/bumpers/grille. Green is the color for North Carolina Ave. which it has on the roof. Included is a small gold Monopoly game token...would love to use it during game play, but I don't want to open the package.

I've always wondered about a PT Cruiser version of Monopoly...;)
We ought to do PT Cruiser trivial pursuit
You forgot the very first Green that came in a PT Cruiser. I guess only us first year Cruiser owners remember that one.
SHALE Green which was only available the first year the Cruiser came out in 2000 for the 2001 Model year.
It looked more like a British Racing green or Forest Green as it is otherwise known as.

I don't have an original photo but here is a rendition of what the color looked like:

Here is a photo of the Shale Green Panel Cruiser that I have (it is almost dead with what the actual Shale Green looked like)

Speaking of trivia, can anyone name all the first year PT Cruiser colors (that would be the 2001 PT Cruiser)?
Hint: There were 10 of them by the end of 2001

Speaking of Monopoly Cruisers, here what mine look like:

They both came with a Monopoly game piece (1:100 scale mini cruisers) as shown in the package on the left. The convert package also had a 1:100 scale Cruiser (bronze chrome) but I took it out of the package and use it on our SIGN-OUT board at the office. |)

Well, Like I said...only a first year owner would know Jerry. :D
You are correct sir...BUT the actual technical colors are as follows:

Deep Cranberry Pearl Coat
Inferno Red Pearl Coat
Taupe Frost Metallic
Shale Green Metallic
Aquamarine Metallic
Patriot Blue Pearl Coat
Bright Silver Metallic
Black
Stone White
and
Inca Gold - Dream Cruiser (they decided to change it to Inca instead of Aztek because Pontiac came out with their monstrosity and Chrysler did not want folks to get mixed up with the Cruiser and the Aztek. Came out in late 2001, early 2002.

So Jerry, you win a PT Toy, any PT toy....wait a minute. You already have ALL the PT toys in existance...|)

Strange. I just checked my service manual and they have it listed as Aztek Gold. Hmmmmm...
I didn't think any gold was available in the first year (officially 2001) of the Cruiser. I thought the Gold Dream Cruiser was listed as a 2002 model year car.
.....back to the topic at hand, the Johnny Lightning Clue Cruiser is also available in two variations. The regular version as stated above with chrome rims and bare metal chassis, and the "White Lightning" version which has white rims and a white chassis.

Yup, all JL issues have a White Lightning counterpart - very hard to find as they are 1% of the regular run. Also on many runs they have 2 wheel variations. The PT Cruiser series, which unfortunately only had 1 release, had the regular run with plastic tires, WL, and a variation with rubber tires. The wheel variations aren't near as hard to find as WL.

remember this far back?
