Selling a remarkably clean 1985 Chrysler Laser XE Turbo 5spd. This is a very well kept, original owner car with ALL service records. It has 211,000 miles, but you would be hard pressed to tell, either in appearance or drive. The engine was rebuilt and the turbo replaced at 180,000 miles. The clutch was replaced and transmission rebuilt at 206,000 miles. It was repainted and striped at about 13 years, the paint and striping are in excellent condition, and it's been garaged for the last 17 years. The entire interior was reupholstered with factory color matched leather at 175,000 miles. This is not a parts car, this an excellent driver and everything about it is in proper working order, including the onboard diagnostic computer (part of the XE upgrade package). More than twice the car's original value has been in invested in its meticulous maintenance over the last 34 years, and it shows. Looking for a new home at $6,000 OBO. Currently located in Tucson, AZ.

Thanks for the feedback. This site only allows for 10 photos, but I could share the rest if you're interested. The engine and under side are, though, just as clean as the rest of the car, which is located in Tucson.

Good luck; that's a hefty price tag! I know you mentioned you were going to put in on Bring A Trailer; however, it's highly unlikely they will list it. In fact, I will just say it now...they won't. I tried selling a much cleaner Laser (well...much less miles, original everything..."cleaner" is up for debate) on there a few months back and they refused.

You can read into the adventure of selling mine here - https://www.turbododge.com/threads/1984-chrysler-laser-xe-7000.1251711/#post-4506467

Like I said, good luck.

ps: I am pretty sure the new owner is a member here, too.

Thanks, I appreciate your perspective. I'll probably put it up on eBay first and see how it goes, and yeah I have wondered if it's nearly "classic" enough for BaT, but I thought it would be fun to check out.
It's true that this car has a LOT more miles on it than yours, but honestly, it drives better now than it did in 1985. The upgrades of the clutch and the turbo in particular have made it a much smoother drive, and I don't doubt that this car could go for another 100k if someone wanted it to.

Hi ChryslerTech,
Is this car still for sale? I didn't see it on ebay. How does the voice system sound? Does it still play well?

The action has ended on eBay and the car was not sold. The voice system works perfectly, and all of the on board monitors are functioning correctly.
