This engine/trans has been sitting in my garage for almost 25 years since being pulled from my wrecked GLH HO. I rebuilt it about 10,000 miles before the accident with new pistons, rings, bearings, etc...
Comes with the original transmission with the deeper gear set. It also includes a GLH Turbo transmission.
Intermediate shafts are not available from the dealer, there might be a VERY distant chance you could find one NOS for an L-body but it's a real long shot. Used L-body intermediate shafts are also in short supply, most of the ones taken off cars were removed because the bearing was coming apart or making noise. The problem many face is that the bearing in the shaft is no longer available and currently nobody offers one aftermarket, so no repair parts are available.
The common fix is to use an automatic axle on a car that needs to have the intermediate shaft replaced....or as indicated above, an axle for your year for a car w/o a turbo, the only car that came with them. :smile2:
Damn I'm in MA...So close but so far! Let me talk to Forward Motion. If they will rebuild it, I may buy it and ask you to drop it off. I need one for my 83.5 shelby charger.
Sorry, yes. For some reason, I did not get notified of any activity on the thread...
