Mopar Jim, I have not forgotten about you. I'll be back later. In Thailand now.

Front Headlight bezel I think I looked at and it was good. Front Bumper boots are also likely good. Front inner fender passenger side is likely rusty...

Bump,

Mopar Jim, I took off the Headlight bezels the other day. I think they are mostly good. I'm going to get pictures for you soon. They are on a table at home. Front bumper boots looked good too. Just gotta figure out how to get that bumper off...

Who wants a powerful 2.2L Engine? This thing is in the Race car Omni and could be pulled and sold.

I don't have the exact details on it but it is a hopped up race motor. I know its got some kind of hot cam in it. This car was originally from BC and had raced out there lots. I got if from a friend that brought it to Regina, Saskatchewan and raced it on the Circle track for almost 5 years. Runs healthy and strong.

I might start stripping down the race car. It's frame got bent pretty badly and I'm not sure it'll get fixed.

Yep Randy. And what a stroke of Luck. He lives just 100 miles away from Road America where my Amateur Racing Team is going for the Chumpcar Chumpionship October 21 and 22. We'll be able to handle the shipping very effectively as I can just bring it in the truck.

Yeah, I only drove it to the circle track and back once. It seemed fine until I was almost home and something in the shift linkage let go and I was stuck in fourth. That was outside the transmission though.

Here's some bonus video for you guys. I'm driving my Friends 1993 Ford Probe. It was a strange day in the Probe. I'm working night shift so I slept from about 8am to 12:30pm and then had to race to the track for the 1pm drivers meeting and 2pm start time.

When I got there the Probe had been unloaded by my friend that owns it. But apparently it had very little oil in it. Not even on the dipstick. It had been run too. We filled it up and it seemed fine. Now for the first race we had just under a half for fuel. And that isn't any good for a probe of this year because the fuel pickup is terrible and it stumbles on corner exit just completely killing your time. I should have won that race but held 3rd until the last corner when it stumbled hard and I dropped to 5th. Now, had this been a regular day I probably would have filled it up proper and remembered to bring gas.

The video I'm adding in is heat #2. I got the following from timing the video with my cell phone. You can see it drop off on its time at lap 6 after I dropped it off the edge of corner exit at turn 2. Since we are a poorly run and small track with little money this has happened regularly such that the dirt is pulled away from the pavement leaving a big mean 4" or so drop. I think that is what caught the oil pan and caused the leak. It was dripping from the oil pan pretty bad after the second heat. I still won though.

Do you have any 5 speed linkage parts? Also looking for air cond. parts. Thanks Terry.
Hmmm....I might have them on the damaged race car. That was a 5-speed setup.

What parts do you need?

-working tachometer in the gauge cluster?

Bump.

I know I've got an alternator, starter, front bumper (Someone wanted the rubber bumper covers now has pictures in the album), Headlights (and maybe bezels), Seatbelts...

I've managed to accomplish what I needed from this car which was get a k-frame for my Circle Track Omni and rear beam for the Omni to potentially fix it (or part it too...) and I've managed to break even on buying the car so I'll sell things kinda cheap now.

Anybody want this stuff? Or wants to buy a good drive train from a race Omni that is some sort of hopped up engine?

It looks like your interior is charcoal gray, correct? I have an 84 Rampage with the same color interior, and was curious if the front door inner panels would fit a two door. Also, how good of condition are the front seat belts? Stains, faded, etc.?

Did you sell your five speed stuff? Or end up deciding to keep the clutch pedal setup?
Tranny Gone. Shifter/Linkage Gone. Clutch...went with motor I think.

Pedals? Should be kicking around I think....What exactly did you want?

I do have a 5 speed setup in the banged up Race Car though. Could potentially sell that thing...

I kind of want to piece together a five speed swap kit to have on the shelf in case anyone in the STL club wants to swap their TBI or carb Omnirizon daily to five speed. I have some spare low miles 525s.

Buy the banged up Race car then. LOL. It's a hot engine. (I don't know exactly what's done to it but it's strong. Cams for sure I think.) And it has a 5 speed mated to it. The rear end beam is a bit bent but I have a spare and the front needs a good pull and the k-frame is good. But I have a spare k-frame also.

Problem is you are a long ways away methinks. Illinois?

Yes, Illinois. Near St. Louis, MO. I was really looking to saving my current engine in my Horizon instead of replacing it. I can't really take any vacation from work. Parts trips are sort of off limits for me anymore.

It's 400 miles from Road America where I'll likely be racing in April and October. So it's kinda possible but would need to be planned and depends on what exactly you'd want to be buying.

I'd also likely need to get a good truck to tow the car with if I was gonna be going down there. My current truck needs a transmission cause it doesn't have reverse and is a total pig on gas.

Something to consider I guess.
