I have a 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z C/S for sale, in USA - Oregon.

Mileage: 165000 miles
Engine Size: 2.2T

Asking price is $4000

I'm moving to California and I can't take my baby with me, so I've got to sell before I leave Portland, OR. She's a 1986 Black on Black Turbo Z with the C/S package, manual, and tons of upgrades. About 165k miles, but had the engine rebuilt and significantly upgraded about 50k miles ago.

In terms of Engine upgrades, during the rebuild she got the Turbo II intercooler and intake, the 3.0L throttle body and 2.5L injectors. She was upgraded with the Mopar performance computer to run it all at 14psi (still have the original ECU too.) She also has a Flowmaster muffler and 2 1/4 exhaust with High-flow cat. She aces the emmissions test here in Oregon, runs very clean.

The suspension started with the C/S package but has since got an oversized Rear Sway Bar, KYB shocks and springs. The entire frame was blueprinted and balanced.

The rear axle is out of an 89 Lebaron as are the brake master cylinder and the proportioning valve in order to run the four wheel disk brakes.

The interior is in very good condition, the front seats show a little cracking, but no tears and I put in a Panasonic CD player. Comes with two boxes of miscellaneous spare parts.

I've done a lot to fix her up from the previous owner, but she does still have some flaws. She needs a paint job and the front left attachment of the front seat (to the motorized carriage) broken, the seat is firmly cabled down, but probably ought to be welded.

You guys get first-dibs, if I can't find a buyer I'll have to take her down to Cali to find a buyer :( Send me a PM or e-mail if you're interested.

Well I've got the seat tied down with some cable, it still ought to be welded, but it doesn't lean back or wobble while you're driving.
Nice Car!! Dealer will probably give you $350 They Try to rip your head off. .I used to work for a dealer and could buy cars at $100 over cost. 4 years ago I bought an excellent Detailed ,new tires, brakes Town&Country LX for 3400 before I retired. Hell I could probably get that for it now.
That's why I hate working with dealerships so much, that and it always takes so much longer than you expect. And for some reason the wife thinks they're easier to work with? Fortunately, I think I can convince her to move it down with us and park it on the street until we find a buyer in LA, if we haven't sold by then.
I found some time to put the new window scrappers today, and it looks great!
What is it with Daytonas, at least 86 models, that it seems the plastic piece that goes around the inside door handle all come off? I forgot my 86 had the same problem, now that I am looking to buy it back I have to laugh when I see all these other cars seem to have the same problem that I had completely forgotten about. Was this some defect or something?
Probably not a defect. Everyone probaly thought they "snapped on" with tension clips instead of slid on. If you every had to remove the door panel (or bump it just right) Im sure the fingers that held them on broke off easily. Mine never did, maybe I got lucky.

Ha! That's been bugging me, but I haven't been able to find replacements. Any ideas where I could find some?
Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z C/S - $3500

I've dropped my asking price to $3500. Send me a PM if you're intrested!
if only you were closer, as that daytona looks good being black on black
My wife just got into Grad school, and we're going this fall, so I'm feeling the pressure to sell. I'll drop my asking price to $2900 to try to sell this summer. PM me if you're interested.
If you can't sell it, pay 300 for a car dolly and tow it to California or ship it for about 600.
I'd love to, but it's more of an issue of space, I won't have anywhere to put it once I get there!
SOLD

Thanks for your interest
