I have located a red 1987 Daytona Shelby for sale. The engine has been removed and rebuilt by a machine shop and is still on the engine stand. I went by and looked at the car sitting outside of the machine shop (was closed) and it appears to be red oxidized paint. The drivers upper door hinge is broken at the weld and has caught the fender. Thats the only damage. No rust that I could see. The interior is gray textured cloth and looks good. The radio is gone. Has factory boost gauge. Didn't notice the mileage. It's a 5 speed so I assume that with it being a 2.2L T-II that it is the A568 Getrag transmission, right? The shift pattern on theball was worn away. I have the chance to pick this car up with the rebuilt engine for $600....so any thoughts?

It will have a a555 trans in it same as my 87 Z has. Reverse is next to first. I have a factory radio if you wanted to keep it stock. 600 bucks is a steal for that car as long as it is a compitent machine shop doing the work.
