I am listing my ’87 GLHS for sale. I’ve owned the car since 2002. I’ve had a lot of fun, met good people and am ready to see the car go to its next owner. Car hasn’t been winter driven since I owned it. But it’s a mid-west car and there are rust issues that I currently can’t deal with. It’s gotten less than 1000 miles this summer so I’ve decided to sell.
- 14.0s @ 102mph (17.5psi) quarter mile
- 130k miles
- 2.2l original engine, very strong, rebuilt by previous owner at approx. 118 miles
- Interior has been updated, panels replaced with dark grey (have originals), new headliner
- Original rear Koni struts seem to be on the car (Koni reds), might have original fronts
- Autometer Phantom A/F and Boost gauge are installed, pod waiting for EGT gauge
- 5pt harness shoulder belt attachment bar installed in rear cargo area (5pt included)
- SLH front brake upgrade @ approx. 128k
- New gas tank @ approx. 128k
- Walbro 255lph fuel pump @ approx. 128k
- 5th injector fuel (Hobbs pressure + Saab cold start, with dash indicating light)
- 2.5” mandrel cat-back with Walker muffler, done by Elite Stainless in Brantford
- Cool 80’s Alpine cassette deck!
- 16” Pumpers w/worn Kumho Ecsta 712 rubber
- MP Logic Module, Grainger Valve, Map Bleed Valve
The bad
- Rust has infected the drivers floorboard, lower doors, lower hatch, both rear doglegs
- Body needs tlc and paint
- Clutch won’t hold anymore in 4th/5th above 5psi
- Non-original A525 installed, I think I still have the original to go with the car
- Power steering pump has a leaky fitting, can include replacement
I want to sell the car to a person that will restore, or at the very least maintain and keep her on the road. This car has great personality and deserves to be driven. It shouldn’t need anything more than a floor patch to pass safety. Contact me if you’re interested. Car is plated and insured for the rest of the season.
I also have some parts that I was planning on upgrading the car with. These could be discussed about, but the deal will be for the GLHS first and foremost.
If this car goes back south over the border I will help with customs.
