Hmmmm, I'd sure like to find a hood and hatchback in good shape to replace the hail damaged ones on my Shelby Lancer. Maybe I should look into this car and part mine out instead? I was just in Longmont yesterday! Darnit!

I emailed the guy, and got pics back. The car is missing the radio, dash plaques, and steering wheel. Tranny is bad. Carpet is real dirty, seats are amazing good. One fog light broken, various small dents and dings, of course the paint is shot. Rip in left lower ground effect. Trunk medallion is there, no trunk decals. 5 speed car. No title, but will provide a notarized bill of sale. $600.

I got an email back from the guy. He wants $150 for the hood and $100 for the hatch door. Way too much if you ask me. The paint on the hood has very bad clear coat peal and the hatch looks like it has some rust. I'm not even sure if I'll bother to go down and look but I just might see the car tomorrow.

That's one of the problems when a car gets posted on the boards.

Because everyone starts calling/emailing trying to get the car cheap the seller figures that with so much interest in it he must have something.

What these sellers fail to realize is that our community has a lot of tire kickers that no matter how cheap something is they still want it cheaper.

I suspect that he will have the hood & hatch for some time.

The whole car is actually Now On E-bay. Has a bad transmission. Still a cool car though!

Well said. Is anyone interested in both of th SL's on ebay. I can take a 32" enclosed trailer out there and bring both back. Is anyone serious about keeping these alive?
